I am very careful with my money and always look for the best offers.
I will not give up my cable internet connection although it costs way too much.
I did use the dial up phone connection before but it was so slow. Now I am spoiled with the cable and this is where I draw the line.

A long time ago I was told that I wasn’t truly ‘broke’ if I could afford to ‘waste’ something regularly. Like left over coffee in the pot. I dislike warmed over coffee and if it is over an hour old I toss it out without feeling guilty.
Kinda gives you a more positive mindset in the midst of financial problems.

Me, I won’t waste heels.
I cut the amount of Laundry detergent, but I ABSOLUTELY will NOT give up DAWN dishliquid! Although I do keep it in a pump dispenser and only use 3 pumps at a time… Helps it last longer.
There’s my 2 cents for the day!

I cut back, using less, using generic, even eliminating things.
Coffee is where I draw the line, though. I won’t buy generic, I make only one cup at a time (freshness) and I grind the beans fresh at the store. I buy generic filters, then keep the grounds and filters for a small composting area I’m creating for my morel mushrooms.

I buy generic brands as much as I can and we save all our small change is individual quarter, dime and nickel containers. It really adds up.
Recently my boyfriend’s daughter and her husband went on a cruise with money they had saved up for about 3 or 4 years that way!!
Whenever I pay for something I pay with a bill so I can get the change.
I draw the line on drinking left over warmed up coffee. Ugh. Also I will go to movies when there is something I really want to see instead of waiting for it to come out on video.

While I buy mostly generic items from the grocery and use coupons on everything that I can. I do draw the line with the following:
Cable — GOTTA HAVE IT!
Cell phone — I know it can be categorized as an extra, but as a single parent I believe in having it if I break down on the road, I’m out and my kids need to call me, and for client calls.
Beer — now I know this one may not make it to your ezine. but I enjoy a beer like some enjoy a glass of wine in the evenings. And that’s about all I do, a glass in the evenings. And I don’t plan on giving it up.
THAT’S WHERE I DRAW THE LINE!
Thanks for opening this line of discussion up!
